We offer two types of tours to the DPRK (known to many as North Korea), Individual Custom Tours and Group Tours.
 
The DPRK is a very exclusive and unique country to visit. They accept very few tourists each year. There are several conditions and things to know while traveling in the DPRK and all the necessary important trip information can be found on this site and is also included in your “Welcome to the DPRK” travel package that you will receive when you book your tour. Unfortunately at this time journalists cannot travel to the DPRK so please contact us if this applies to you.
 
The only way into the DPRK is via China or Russia. DPRK Travel Tours travel via Beijing, China, which itself is an amazing travel destination. Please follow our "China Travel" link for more information on travel via China.
 
 Tours to the DPRK are all inclusive and include:

Group Tours: With DPRK Travel Tours group trips, you can join one of our pre-tailored group tours which last anywhere from 4 days to 9 days.  We have trips leaving monthly to the DPRK. We have designed an itinerary that allows you to see the highlights of the country without being rushed around. All our group tours have English speaking guides who will be with you to explain the sites you are visiting and teach you about this amazing country.

 

 Please see the gallery for details of some of the sites in these itineraries. If a trip does not include everything you want to see it is often possible to extend your individual stay.

 

Keep in mind the pricing for the trip is all inclusive; travel to and from the DPRK, Hotels, Meals, transportation inside the DPRK and personal guide.

 

Please note that the itineraries can change slightly in order to incorporate special events, such as holidays and parades or for airline logistic changes. This is only to improve the trip and no country highlights will be left out, the complete itinerary will also be included in your “Welcome to the DPRK” trip package you receive when you book your tour.

Trip A: 4 days/3 nights:  This is the cheapest and fastest way to see the DPRK while still experiencing all the major attractions.

 

Day 1: Arrive in Pyongyang from Beijing by flight. Check into Hotel. You made it! Begin your guided tour in the heart of the capital Pyonyang. Including visiting the Mansudea Grand Monumnet, Fountain Park and the Juche Tower.

 

Day 2: Wake up early to see all the major sites in and around Pyongyang. Including the War Museum (over 100 rooms), Mangyongdae (birth place of the great leader president Kim Il Sung), lunch on the floating boat restaurant, a Metro train ride and tour and more...

 

Day 3: An early bus ride to Kaesong and the Demilitarized Zone (the DMZ). Including a guided tour of the border followed by a visit to the Koryo History Museum. In the evening a farewell Duck BBQ dinner at the National Restaurant.

 

Day 4: Departure by flight.

Trip B: 5 days/ 4 nights: This is our most popular tour, it includes all major highlights as well as some some amazing sites outside the cities.

 

Day 1: Arrive in Pyongyang from Beijing by flight. Check into Hotel. You made it! Begin your guided tour in the heart of the capital Pyonyang. Including visiting the Mansudea Grand Monumnet, Fountain Park and the Juche Tower

 

Day 2: Wake up early to see all the major sites in and around Pyongyang. Including the War Museum (over 100 rooms), the USS Peublo, Mangyongdae (birth place of the great leader president Kim Il Sung), lunch on the floating boat restaurant, a Metro train ride and tour and more...

 

Day 3: An early bus ride for a full day in Kaesong. First to the Demilitarized Zone at Panmunjom (the DMZ), including a guided tour of the border followed by a visit to the Koryo History Museum and the tomb of King Wanggon. An overnight stay in the Minsok Korean Folk Hotel near Keasong.

 

Day 4: Return to Pyongyang to see the People’s Study Hall, The International Friendship Exhibition, a chance for some local shopping in Pyongyang shops and a late afternoon at the Korean Circus. At the end of the day a farewell dinner for the group.

Trip C: 7night/8day: This is one of our longest tours. It not only incorporates the major highlights of the country but also includes the breathtaking nature sights and amazing attractions that require time to travel to from the capital. Most notably the famous Mr. Paektu. Please not for this tour, while the nature is breathtaking for everyone, please be in shape and ready for bit of walking in nature, bring proper shoes.

 

Day 1: Arrive in Pyongyang from Beijing by flight. Check into Hotel. You made it! Begin your guided tour in the heart of the capital Pyonyang. Including visiting the Mansudea Grand Monumnet, Fountain Park and the Juche Tower

Day 5: Travel to Mt Paektu (Samjiyon Grand Monument, Mt. Paektu) Night in Samjiyon

 

Day 6: Paektu secret camp, Rimyongsu, return to Pyongyang

 

Day 7: A visit to the Daedong gate, the Korean Art Gallery, the USS Pueblo, a chance for some local shopping in Pyongyang shops, the Folklore Museum. End the day with a farewell banquet dinner in your honor.

 

Day 8: Return to Beijing
